Current Favorite Album
We all have favorite albums that we like to play over and over. Either old favorites, or the latest release you just got at the store. Just as you can fixate on a particular song, you can fixate on a certain album, and it just refuses to leave your player (or stop looping on your computer). So, whatever your current favorite album is, talk about it here. Maybe give a short description or review of it.
I'll start:
Psychogeist - Age Of Nemesis
Excellent progressive metal by this band from Hungary. The first 6 tracks tell the Psychogeist story: After years of searching, a woman at last finds her young son, taken from her by her husband. She learns that her child was subjected to experiments that have transformed him into a Psychogeist, someone who can step outside of their own body. Now she must protect the boy from those who would use this power for their own ends...
After an instrumental track halfway through the CD, the songs switch to more self-contained pieces.
Heavy guitars and laser-like synths blend together, adding that extra layer that is a trademark of the progressive genre. Vocalist Zoltan Kiss sometimes sounds just a tad flat, but not to such a degree that it detracts from the experience.

Re: Current Favorite Album
I'd have to say Hi! How Are You Today?
It's the album of the violinist Ashley McIssac (who is a male).
The music goes from Irish traditional to a melodic fusion with rock instruments and fast paced drum inprovisations. If anything, check out the vocal-less feature track Wing Stock.

Clone - Threshold
Possibly in an attempt to remain in denial about longtime vocalist Andrew 'Mac' McDermott suddenly leaving the band, I've been listening to a lot of Threshold lately.
Clone was released back in 1998 and is the first album to feature Mac on vocals. It was the closest the band ever came to having a storyline: dealing with genetic manpiluation, the development of telepathy in humans, and the enhanced humans' escape from a destructive Earth to make a new life on Mars.
The album has a slightly rough, less polished audio quality which gives it a more unique feel. As always it was the typical Threshold mix of heavy rock and metal with layers of keyboards and intelligent lyrics.
